The Carolina's Open Water Challenge The next Open Water Swim at Latta Plantation (Gar Creek) is set for May 29, 2010 CHARLOTTE'S PREMIER OPEN WATER SWIM SERIES IS BACK! Now with Chip Timing! On May 29th The Open Water Challenge will be hosting 2 separate events on the same day. Event 1 is open to everyone wanting to swim any or all of the 800m, 1 mile or 2 mile “Timed courses” click for event 1 entry Event 2 is only open to USMS members and is the 1-mile USMS Championship for the 1 mile. For information and entry into this race click for event 2 (USMS 1-mile) We encourage everyone to join the USMS at www.usms.org/reg/ The USMS 1 mile Championship will start in waves at 8am.
